Like Exchange Communications Emerge specialises in the installation of Avaya telecommunications systems and has considerable experience of integrated voice and data telephone systems, IP telephony, IP office and VoIP.
Tom Sime and Michael McMillan look to the future after acquiring Emerge Communications
The coming together of two like-minded, independent companies is something we’re very excited about and it will give us the opportunity to extend our reach in Scotland.
Over the course of the past 11 years, under the direction of founder Ron McGregor, Emerge has established itself as a key player in the Aberdeen market, and by committing further investment and resources we plan to use Ron’s expertise and experience to enhance our presence in Aberdeen and beyond. We’re also thrilled Emerge’s network engineer, Derek Keith, will join the team at Exchange Communications.
Growth by acquisition has always been one of our goals and over the course of the past six months we have been working hard to identify the right company. Emerge Communications was clearly the best fit, for a number of reasons, and together we’ll be able to offer companies unified communications which combines the best of Avaya and Nortel enterprise solutions.
Ron McGregor added: “After much consideration, we felt the best way for Emerge to take our customers and the services we provide to the next level, would be by becoming part of a larger group and it was for this reason we accepted the offer from Exchange Communications
“Like Emerge, Exchange Communications is a well established, independent Scottish company and I believe the enhanced service and engineering capability within Exchange will deliver major benefits for our customers, and the wider business community.”
To mark the coming together of Emerge and Exchange Communications we are hosting a networking event on Wednesday 1st December 2010 at the Palm Court Hotel, Aberdeen from 3.30pm for 4pm, and will be providing a buffet and drinks reception from 5pm. It will be an opportunity to meet the team from Exchange Communications and learn how we can help organisations integrate and evolve their ICT infrastructure.
