George Best Belfast City Airport – is a single runway airport with 6 airlines operating 30 routes across the UK and Europe. In 2023, the airport handled over 2.3 million passengers. The airport was requisitioned by the Royal Navy during the Second World War.
The Challenge
George Best Belfast City Airport had a requirement for improved mobile network coverage across the airport, with the installation of 4G and 5G to be completed within small working windows.
Implementation

The upgrade will significantly transform connectivity for the more than two million passengers that pass-through George Best Belfast City Airport per year (2023 figures).
